Butter Cookies
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup icing sugar (powdered sugar)
- 1 cup Crisco (cooking butter)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp. baking powder
- A few pine nuts
Preparation:
- In a bowl, mix the butter, sugar, flour, and baking powder by hand until well combined.
- Form into small rolls and place every 2 inches apart on an ungreased oven tray.
- Using your fingers, flatten the rolls lightly and add 1 or 2 pine nuts in the center.
- Bake in the oven on the top rack at a temperature of 350°F for 10-12 min.
- Remove the cookies on to a wire rack and let cool before serving.
