Baked Kibbeh



Ingredients:
  • 120g bulgur wheat
  • 450g beef mince
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 15g butter, cut into small pieces (optional)
  • 70g pine nuts
Preparation:
  1. Soak bulgur in a bowl of warm water until water is slightly absorbed, about 25 minutes. 
  2. Drain and squeeze out excess moisture.
  3. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease a baking dish.
  4. Mix soaked wheat, mince, onion, lemon juice, cinnamon, salt and black pepper together in a bowl. 
  5. Spread mixture in the prepared baking dish; top with butter and pine nuts.
